Terms & Conditions of Boarding at Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel
The following terms and conditions form the contractual basis of your cats stay with us. If you have any questions regarding any of the terms and conditions, please raise them by email with us directly so we can discuss. By booking, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions in full without amendment.
Bookings:
A deposit of approximately 25% of the expected boarding fee will be charged to secure the booking. This is non refundable. The requested dates will be held for 72 hours (3 days) , if no deposit is received the dates will become available again
The remaining boarding fee balance will be required 7 days prior to arrival. A reminder will be sent by email. Non payment of the balance due will be deemed to be a cancellation and JASPERS LUXURY CAT HOTEL will be entitled to levy the full charge in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.
We do not have facilities to accept card payment.
Tariff:
Please refer to the Menu & Tariff page for full information on both the packages available – SILVER and GOLD. Included in the price is all food (with the exception of medical, breed specific and raw), plenty of treats, a choice of quality biodegradable litters, heating, lots of love, attention, play and 1:1 time, interactive toys, light grooming if enjoyed, updates and photos and insurance whilst in our care. Please be aware that we are unable to insure against any pre existing medical conditions (whether diagnosed or not) or any injury resulting from cats from the same family sharing a suite.
Charges are per day and include the day of arrival and the day of departure .
Only guests from the same household can share a suite or an interconnecting suite and with the owners consent. The client booking from requests information on any behavioural problems, aggression etc.. Should there be any signs of concerning behaviour between cats sharing a suite Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel reserve the right to separate the cats for their own safety and well-being. Should this be required the owner agrees to pay for the costs of both suites. If we do not have another suite available we will contact you / or your emergency contact to discuss and make alternative arrangements. If your cats don’t always get along it is advisable to book 2 suites.
If you collect your cat before the end of the booked period no refund will be given.
The boarding tariff will be reviewed at the end of the year and any price changes will take effect from 01st January. If booking for the next year there may be a slight price increase.
Health & Well Being:
The health and well-being of all the cats in our care is of paramount importance. The following has been put in place to protect that and as such there can be no deviation from the same. The more we know about your cat the happier they will be whilst in our care.
Vaccinations:
Vaccinations must be up to date at the time of the stay and cover your cat for the duration of their stay. Evidence of this must be provided in the form of a vaccination certificate signed by your vet. Please check all other details on the vaccination certificate are correct, your address etc… - especially if you have only recently got your cat from a rescue or similar.
Vaccinations your cats MUST have are
CAT FLU. FHV +FCV FHV is Feline Herpesvirus. FCV is Feline Calicivirus. These are the primary viruses responsible for cat flu
Feline Infectious Enteritis Panleukopenia (FPV):
Please check with your vet if you are unsure what vaccinations your cat has had.
If your cat has never been vaccinated or more than 12 months have elapsed since your cat was vaccinated then you will be required to get a new course of vaccinations. Vaccinations are given 3 weeks apart. The 2nd set of vaccinations must have been administered a full 4 weeks prior to boarding. Proof of vaccination will be required on booking.
If you are booking well in advance and the vaccination certificate does not cover your cat for the period of their stay you will need to provide it again when paying the balance. Cats cannot be accepted without valid proof of vaccination. If you fail to provide proof of vaccination it will be deemed as a cancellation of your booking and as such Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel will be entitled to levy the full charge of the booking in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
The cats owner consents to us retaining an electronic or paper copy of the vaccination card.
Flea & Worm Treatment:
Please ensure your cats flea and worm treatments are up to date before arrival. The client booking form requests information on this and the information will be retained on your cats file. Treatments should be administered at least 7 days before their stay. If your cat is found to have fleas or worms then we will contact your vet, (or ours) and appropriate treatment will be administered and the cost settled by you at the time directly with the vet or the cost will be added to your boarding fee bill. We will endeavour to contact you first to discuss.
Neutering:
All cats over the age of 6 months need to be neutered or spayed. Please contact us if you have any queries or concerns.
Medical History & Medication:
The client booking form requests full disclosure of your cats medical history. This is vital should your cat become ill and your own vet not be contactable. Should you fail to provide your cats medical history Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel accepts no liability for any ramifications as a result of such failure. We will administer any medications in accordance with veterinary instructions. All medication must be in the original dispensing receptacle and clearly labelled with your cats name, address and dosage requirements.
Should your cat develop a medical condition after you have booked please inform us so we can discuss and assess what care your cat requires.
General Health:
If your cat is showing signs of illness on arrival we reserve the right to refuse to board until veterinary advice can be sought. If we have concerns for your cats health whilst boarding with us we will endeavour to contact you / your emergency contact to discuss. However, in the case of immediate need veterinary advice will be sought either from your own vet or ours. Any costs incurred for veterinary care will be payable either directly to the vet at the time by yourself or to us before collection of your cat. When possible you / your emergency contact will be kept informed. If we are unable to contact you / your emergency contact we will make any necessary decisions that are in your cats best interest and deemed appropriate by the vet. The owner of the cat is responsible for all veterinary fees incurred. The owner consents to any veterinary surgeon consulted obtaining medical history from the cats own vet if necessary/ possible. Should medication be required the owner consents to us administering this in accordance with the vets instructions.
Your Own Pet Insurance:
Please provide details of your cats insurance on the client booking form. We accept no responsibility for the owner being unable, for whatever reason, to recover any charges levied by a veterinary surgery from the insurance company.
My Insurance:
Whilst staying at Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel your cat is fully insured, this excludes any pre existing medical conditions (whether diagnosed or not) and any injury or illness resulting from sharing the suite with other cats from the same household. The owner is responsible for all vet fees for treatment for pre existing medical conditions (diagnosed or not) and injury as a result of your cats sharing a suite.
Behavioural Concerns:
The client booking from requests information on any behavioural issues your cat(s) may have – this includes aggression, chewing of toys, general destructive behaviour, litter tray concerns etc… Please refer to the information above on the tariff fees applicable if we are required to separate your cats for their well being or safety.
Whilst every care and precaution will be taken by us to safeguard the health and well being of all cats in our care, Cats are boarded at the sole risk of the owner and we cannot be held liable for illness, injury, disease, or death of your cat whilst in our care.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand the unexpected can happen and as a result may need to cancel your cats stay with us. Cancellations must be made by email / in writing. The deposit is non-refundable, additionally the following cancellation charges apply. Cancellations made between the period of 21 days and 11 days of arrival date – 50% of the boarding fee for the period booked is payable. Cancellations made on or within 10 days of arrival date – 100% of the boarding fee for the period booked is payable. The cancellation fee applies if you cancel your whole booking or part of the booking. If we are able to offer your dates to another client a partial or full refund will be offered at our discretion.
It is advisable to take your own travel insurance as this may cover you for the costs of your cats boarding fees should you have to cancel your booking or part of your booking. In this instance you will need to settle the boarding bill and claim it back from your holiday insurer.
Arrivals & Departures:
Please bring your cat in a secure cat carrier. Under no circumstances should your cat be carried in your arms or put in a box. The carrier will remain here for the duration of the stay. We accept no responsibility for your cat until safely within the hotel suite.
Ideally your cat will be brought in by the owner so we can fully discuss your cats needs and you can settle your cat into their room. If this is not possible please let us know. We have a variety of cat beds available however we strongly advise you bring your cats own bed and a blanket that smells of you / home as this will really help them settle.
Arrivals / Departures are strictly by appointment . Please adhere to the time agreed. If you are running a few minutes late please telephone us and we will try to accommodate.
We highly recommend that you book your cat in for 1 extra day to alleviate the stress should your flight or travel plans be delayed or similar. I may not have the available space to board your cat if you are delayed and we request details on the client booking form of an emergency contact capable of collecting your cat in your absence.
Minimum Stay / Short Stay:
The minimum booking period is 3 days. We are happy to accept cats for under 3 days but you will still be charged for the full 3 days.
Chauffeur Service:
A chauffeur service is available by arrangement. The charge is £1 per mile. You will be charged for the round journey and payment is required on booking the service.
Emergency Contact:
We require the details of an emergency contact. This should be someone who is not travelling with you and who you trust to make decisions regarding your cats welfare on your behalf. We also require the details of someone who can collect your cat should you be delayed if different.
Failure To Collect Your Cat:
If you fail to collect your cat(s) within 7 days of the end of the booking period and no communication has been received we reserve the right to rehome.
Guest Possessions:
We encourage you to bring your cats own bed, familiar blankets, brush etc…to help them settle and whilst every care and precaution will be taken to prevent loss or damage of such items they are left entirely at the owners risk. If anything is left behind after your cats departure we will contact you to arrange collection. Any items not collected within 14 days of departure will be disposed of.
Collars:
In the interest of safety collars will be removed and returned at check out.
Death:
In the very sad event that your cat should die whilst staying with us we will make every effort to contact you or your emergency contact as soon as practicable. Your cat will be taken to your veterinary practice and remain there.
Social Media & Photography:
We take photographs to post on social media and for our website, we reserve the right to use these unless otherwise instructed not to.

Liability & Limitations:
Jaspers luxury Cat Hotel is the trading name of Jaspers Luxury Cat Hotel Ltd.
We retain the right to vary these terms and conditions periodically.
